Women Help Desks

Telangana Police has set up Women Help Desks under the aegis of the Women Safety Wing to act as first points of contact for women in distress and a one-stop support centre for women; both in person and through a 24×7 helpline number. These Help Desks provide all round emergency assistance to distressed women at more than 500 police stations across the state of Telangana. The Women Help Desk teams are trained to empathise with the victims and are sensitised on various women safety issues to ensure women reaching out to the help desks are treated with care, and given the necessary support and redressal.
