The AHTU PMU @ Women Safety Wing is being set up in collaboration with the Association for Voluntary Action (AVA). AVA is a child rights movement founded and spearheaded by Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi in 1979. The position of Legal Associate will be on the rolls of AVA and funded by AVA. The role serves the following on a need basis:
1.Serve as the liaison between WSW and AVA Legal Backoffice.
2.Provide legal research, opinions, and case briefs for Investigating Officers (IOs), Public Prosecutors (PPs), and stakeholders.
3.Develop and maintain Legal Information Kits for victims.
4.Coordinate with legal experts and prosecution teams to ensure accuracy of opinions.
