Operating across Telangana, Bharosa Centers are equipped with professional case workers, legal and psychological counsellors, and child-friendly infrastructure to serve survivors with dignity and empathy.
The Centre for Development and Empowerment of Women (CDEW) is specifically designed to support victims of domestic violence. A first of its kind State Police-Industry Body collaborative initiative to strengthen the ecosystem of support for women employees in workplaces across the State. SAHAS, which, when translated into most Indian languages, means “Courage,” is a program that aims to strengthen the ecosystem of support for women who face workplace sexual harassment. While there is a general consensus that there is a need to provide courage, guidance, and assistance to women in dealing with such issues at the workplace, this is the first time in the country that a State Police entity is launching a statewide intervention specifically targeted at addressing this gap.
A groundbreaking initiative by the Women Safety Wing that revolutionizes the landscape of safety and security. With a core focus on digital inclusivity, T-Safe expands the role of law enforcement from emergency response to continuous ride monitoring, ensuring citizens’ safety at every step.
Through automated ride monitoring with minimal human intervention and a streamlined information capture process, T-Safe requires only basic digital literacy from citizens while overlaying seamlessly on existing mechanisms.
The service can be availed by simply Dilaing 100-[IVR 8 Option]. Or by downloading the App from google playstore here.
The Safe Villages Programme is a flagship collaborative initiative of the Women Safety Wing, Telangana Police and My Choices Foundation (MCF)
The programme adopts a holistic approach and focuses on sensitising at-risk community members about child trafficking, its causes, risk factors, creating awareness about ways to prevent child trafficking, sustaining the awareness and conducting vulnerability-reduction workshops. It aims to mobilise communities to keep their children safe from trafficking. With knowledge and collective action, we believe that we can end sex trafficking together.
Currently in its pilot phase, it covers seven districts vulnerable to Human Trafficking.
The programme empowers children, women, and frontline actors through a structured engagement model rooted in legal awareness, psychosocial support, and community vigilance. Outreach workers and trained facilitators conduct village-level sessions, capacity building of local institutions, and targeted follow-ups with vulnerable families.
Anchored under the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of WSW, the initiative integrates helpline access, cloud-based case reporting, and convergence with departments such as DLSA, ICPS, Education, and Women Development & Child Welfare (WD&CW).
The Safe Villages Programme aims to strengthen grassroots safety ecosystems through public–civil society partnerships, institutional convergence, and survivor-centric support models.
