Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika Campaign

The Women Safety Wing successfully conducted the Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika Campaign across the state from 27th April to 2nd May 2026, with a focus on women and child safety, community awareness, prevention of violence, cyber safety, and strengthening access to reporting and support mechanisms.

During the six-day campaign, a total of 1,704 awareness sessions were conducted, reaching 1,55,638 beneficiaries, including students, employees, women, children, parents, youth, and community members. The sessions created awareness on legal rights, personal safety, cybercrime prevention, domestic violence, child protection, trafficking, reporting mechanisms, and the various support services available through Women Safety Wing initiatives.

As part of the campaign, six Bal Panchayats were launched at the grassroots level in Warangal, Medchal, and Vikarabad districts, covering the villages of Teegarajupalli, Annojiguda, Sikadlapur, Upparpally, Madanapalli, and Navabpet. These Bal Panchayats were established to encourage children and youth to actively participate in discussions on safety, child rights, leadership, community vigilance, and early reporting mechanisms at the village level.

Prior to the campaign, a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme was conducted at PTC Medchal from 17th to 25th April 2026, wherein more than 600 personnel from SHE Teams, Anti Human Trafficking Units (AHTU), Bharosa Centres, and CDEW units were trained. The training ensured uniform messaging, effective coordination, improved field-level implementation, and simultaneous outreach activities across all districts.

The awareness programmes conducted during the campaign were graced by District Collectors, Commissioners of Police, Superintendents of Police, officials from various Government Departments, public representatives, education department officials, and other dignitaries, reflecting strong interdepartmental coordination and collective commitment towards women and child safety initiatives.
