Identity theft is when someone wrongfully obtains and uses your personal & financial data like your email id, mobile number, login id, credit card details etc. in a way that involves fraud or deception, typically for economic gain such as online shopping, creating fake profiles etc. It is very common these days. You should never share your financial details with anyone and if by mistake you lose your cards immediately report to the police station and take necessary actions.
